BISHOP BERNARD KIMBLE, PHD

Bishop Bernard Kimble, PhD—Senior Pastor of the Mount Olive Baptist Church of Shreveport, Louisiana—has devoted his time to the church and its congregation since 1997. Dr. Kimble attended Louisiana Tech University, Southern University, and later earned a Bachelor of Arts and Master’s degree in Bible and Theology from Louisiana Baptist University (LBU). He later went on to earn his PhD in Philosophy from LBU as well. He founded Olive Branch Ministries, Inc., a non-profit outreach ministry primarily serving Shreveport-Bossier City and the Northwest Louisiana region; he's co-founder of Women of Vision, Inc., along with his wife the lovely Lady Dr. Pheobe Kimble, that serves as an interdenominational Christian ministry designed to educate, encourage and motivate women in leadership roles; and he's founder and CEO of Bernard Kimble Ministries which is the mother organization of Bernard Kimble International Ministries and Blessed Kingdom International Ministries.

He has continually hosted the "In The Word" television broadcast on KTAL NBC 6 at 5:30 a.m., on Sunday mornings. He is author of The Decay of The African American Family, which focuses on the decay of the African American family from a biblical perspective. He is also the author of To Serve This Present Age, which focuses on ministry in the 21st century.

Bishop Bernard Kimble, PhD serves as founder or establishmentarian, and International Presiding Prelate of Blessed Kingdom International Ministries Fellowship of Covenant Churches, which focuses on church growth and development. Bishop Bernard Kimble, PhD also serves as 1st Vice President for Administration & USA affairs, for the African International Ministerial Fellowship (AIMF) of Monrovia, Liberia in West Africa. Prior, he was ordained and consecrated to the order and office of bishop with Anglican and Brazilian lines of apostolic succession in 2018 by an ecumenical council of bishops and apostles with concelebrants present from the New Destiny Fellowship of Churches International, the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship, and numerous others. He was conditionally elevated and enthroned over BKIM Fellowship of Covenant Churches in 2023 by an episcopal and apostolic ecumenical council with bishops and apostles being represented from the Charismatic-Pentecostal, United and Uniting, and Evangelical Anglican traditions. These elevations are similar to the methods partaken in many United and Uniting churches with Anglican patrimonies, where they share their lineages with all.

Dr. Kimble served on the board of directors for the historic Northwest Louisiana Linwood Public Charter School, in Shreveport. Dr. Kimble has also served as a member of the Communities in Schools (CIS) Advisory Committee. Dr. Kimble most recently served on the Board of Directors of Biomedical Research Foundation (BRF).

He currently serves on the board of managers of CMIT, Center for Molecular Imaging and Therapy, a division of BRF. He is married to Dr. Pheobe Thomas Kimble and has two sons and one daughter: LaToya, Darius (wife Coretta) and Anthony (wife Andrea). Darius and Anthony are both ministers of the Gospel, and faithful biological and spiritual sons to the living legacy of Dr. Kimble. He is the proud grandfather of three granddaughters, Caellen, Camerin and Corrine; and three grandsons, KeVon, Bralen and Mikah.
